The Sustainable Development Scenario (SDS) of the International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts that renewable energies will represent around 30% of the world’s energy mix in 2040. In 2018, electricity consumption rose by 4%, twice as much as the increase in energy as a whole, and demand for electricity is expected to grow at a faster rate than global demand for energy in the coming years. To support this growth, our ambition at Threddington Engineering Solutions is to achieve a renewable electricity power generation capacity of 25 gigawatts by 2025 through the development of our solar and wind energy businesses around the world.
